CSL's Christmas Assistance Program provides Christmas gifts and meal baskets to families in need. In 2019, CSL expects to provide more than 10,000 Christmas presents and 2,000 meal baskets. Below are some ways you can help families experience a brighter Holiday season!
Sign up for assistance – do you know a family that otherwise might not have much of a Christmas? Encourage them to contact their neighborhood CSL office to sign up for Christmas assistance (Registration begins after November 1).
Donate gifts – CSL provides gifts to children up to 18 years old. We ask that gifts be approximately $10-$15 in value, and we suggest that they be new, unwrapped presents. Want to shop online? Visit our Amazon Wish List to send a gift to CSL. Our most-needed items are teenage gifts, and some popular ideas are sports equipment, clothing, makeup/hair products, purses/wallets, skateboards, or other teenage gifts. To be delivered on-time, we ask that Christmas gifts be donated to your local CSL office by Friday, December 6!
Donate meal supplies – families receive meal baskets that include a frozen turkey or ham, scalloped or mashed potato mixes, gravy mix, stuffing, canned vegetables. canned fruit, and jello. We can also include butter, dinner rolls, jelly, pie crust, and pumpkin pie mix as supplies last.
Christmas decorations - are you ready to recycle your old Christmas donations? CSL supplies decorations to any family that requests them. We happily accept anything from Christmas ornaments to Christmas trees.
Coats/blankets – we always needs new or gently-used coats and blankets during the Winter season.
Host a collection – contact our development team if you'd like to host a collection with your office, family, church, neighborhood, or civic organization.
