Food Pantries

CSL operates several food pantries across Eastern Jackson County, to help neighbors access groceries and basic supplies.

Depending on your situation and availability of supplies, CSL typically provides enough food for three to five days.

Hot Meals

Wednesdays at 6pm, a hot meal is served at Stone Church Community of Christ in Independence.

CSL’s County Drop-In Center serves breakfast and lunch Monday-Thursday.

Anyone in need of food is welcome to join.

Public Benefits

For those who qualify, staff at CSL can help you access public nutrition programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Site Managers and Financial Coaches can work with you to determine program eligibility.

Community Services League is part of the Harvesters Community Food Network, a regional food bank serving a 26-county area in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas
