Tennies for Kids is a great partnership in Eastern Jackson County to provide shoes for those children less fortunate in our area, and is a collaboration between A Coalition of Women Helping Children, Community Services League, and scores of concerned volunteers, churches, businesses, and organizations. In 2019, Tennies for Kids is making a difference in the lives of children for the ninth year!

We all can remember how important it was to have the right clothes to fit in the first day of school. For many children, they can be embarrassed to show up to school with hand-me-down shoes or shoes that are worn out. Tennies for Kids will provide children with a brand new pair of shoes for their first day at school.

In 2018, Tennies for Kids provided more than 2,700 pairs of shoes to local kids. These shoes were distributed at Community Services League’s annual Back to School Fairs. At the fairs, families received new school supplies and shoes to start off the school year. With our buying power, CSL can purchase shoes for an average of $15 a pair!  Will you consider a gift of shoes today?

Credit card gifts can be made online or by calling (816) 912-4490.
