BlendWell Community Cafe was launched in 2018 by Community Services League as a catalyst for change in an underserved neighborhood in Northwest Independence. Housed in a renovated banking facility, BlendWell was designed with community input to be a place to gather, have conversations and build connections to make good things happen in life.
A model for collaboration.
BlendWell is the result of people coming together to make meaningful change. A generous donor community providing funding to acquire and build the space. Tables built collaboratively by three local high schools. Community and faith groups choosing to meet at BlendWell to support the mission. And program partners offering classes to teach everything from basic auto maintenance to buying a first time home.
Community Cafe
The cafe and drive through are open from early morning through mid-afternoon serving a full menu of coffee and espresso drinks, smoothies, pastries, paninis, box lunches and more.
WorkLife Center
Housed at BlendWell, the WorkLife Center helps neighbors connect with training programs, career opportunities, employment and financial coaching to build stability in their lives.

You can support BlendWell and CSL’s efforts to create change, one cup, one conversation at a time. Meet friends for coffee. Schedule your group for one of our private meeting rooms.
