CSL’s family support programs are here to help. We work with parents, guardians, and children to build greater stability at home, at school, and in daily life.
Through coaching, resources, and caring support, we help families set goals, solve problems, and take steps toward a stronger future.
Coaching and Resources to Help Families Thrive
When you connect with CSL, you can work with a coach who listens, understands what you are going through, and helps you make a plan that fits your family.
Your coach can help you:
Set goals for yourself and your family.
Connect with resources for housing, food, school, employment, finances, and other needs.
Build routines and supports that help children succeed in school.
Work through challenges that may be affecting your family’s stability.
Celebrate progress along the way.
Every family’s situation is different. CSL will work with you to understand what you need and help you take the next step.
Family Stability Programs
Siemer Family Stability
CSL is part of the Siemer Institute network, which helps families with school-aged children who are at risk of homelessness.
This program provides support to help families stay safely housed while helping children remain in their schools. Families may receive coaching, referrals, and connections to resources that support stability at home and success at school.
School Family Stability
CSL works with school districts in Independence, Missouri, to support families whose children may be facing challenges related to housing, school attendance, or family stability.
We work alongside families, schools, and community partners to help create a more stable home environment so children can learn, grow, and succeed.
With support from CSL and trusted partners, families can build stability today and hope for a brighter future.
More Resources for Families
CSL also partners with community organizations throughout the year to help families access special seasonal support.
Back to School
Each August, CSL helps students start the school year with the supplies they need, including backpacks, school supplies, and tennis shoes.
Christmas Store
Each December, CSL’s Christmas Store gives parents and guardians the opportunity to choose Christmas gifts for their children.
CSL also works with local law enforcement agencies to help children select gifts for their parents, guardians, or family members.
