2026 LEGACY AWARD RECIPIENT
For more than three decades, Carole Wight has worked to make financial opportunity more accessible for everyone in our community.
As she retires from her role as President of Holy Rosary Credit Union, CSL is proud to honor Carole as the recipient of our 2026 Legacy Award, CSL’s highest honor.
The award recognizes individuals whose partnership has fundamentally strengthened CSL’s ability to serve our community. Few people embody that more clearly than Carole.
Her partnership with CSL went far beyond traditional support. Together, HRCU and CSL helped expand the Small Dollar LoanProgram, giving neighbors a safe, affordable alternative to high-interest payday loans while pairing access to credit with one-on-one financial coaching.
To date, the program has provided more than $3 million in small-dollar loans, helping hundreds of individuals build credit, reduce debt and move toward greater financial stability.
Carole also helped bring HRCU micro-branches directly into CSL locations; putting professional financial services in places families already know and trust. By removing barriers to traditional banking, more neighbors have been able to take meaningful steps toward financial independence, including homeownership.
Carole has spent her career living out the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” Her vision, partnership and belief in our neighbors will continue to shape CSL’s work long after her retirement.

Carole will be formally recognized at this year’s LUMINOUS Gala on Saturday, November 7, where we’ll celebrate her extraordinary legacy and impact on our community.
