Every Student Deserves to Walk Into School Prepared

The first day of school should feel exciting.

But for many families, the cost of a new backpack, school supplies, and shoes can create real stress before the school year even begins.

That is why CSL is launching the 1,000 Backpack Challenge.

Each $50 that’s donated is equal the following:

A new backpack
Essential school supplies
A brand-new pair of tennis shoes
The encouragement of knowing their community is behind them

This year, CSL is preparing to serve 2,500 students through Back-to-School efforts across Eastern Jackson County.

Thanks to generous grants and early support, many backpacks are already covered.

Now, we need the community to help sponsor the remaining 1,000 backpacks.
